PERSONAL FITNESS TRAINER
The Biggest Shift in Business come from working on yourself-Simon Lovell, Fitness Professional
Fitness Training Program allows graduates to work as a fitness trainer in the field of health care. Fitness trainers motivate individuals or groups in exercise activities, including cardiovascular activities, strength training and stretching.
The student must complete a 160 hour of externship in a fitness gym of their choice or one provided by the institution. There is no rumination for externship hours. After graduation from the fitness training programs, graduates are eligible to sit for the certification exam administered by: National Association for Fitness Certification (NAFC) Certified Personal Trainer Certification and by National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) Personal Trainer certification. We are pleased to announce that students can complete their externship in Fitness Formula Clubs(FFC), TASH Fitness, and earn real time experience as a fitness trainer. As a PFT student, SIAHT provides them with free membership to Planet Fitness Gym where students can practice their lab exercises. Students are also welcome to let the ED know of their choice for externship.
During the course of the program students learn about:
-

Out of state students also are able to give the NAFC or/and NCSF exam. The tuition is also the same as for students from the state of Illinois.
These students are also able to complete an externship in their state with GymGuyz as SIAHT is partnered with them.
